Songs of the month: June

It has been awhile since I introduced new songs~~here are some of my favourites for the month of June.

Maybe I shall do song of the month every month..how does that sound?

1)《一颗滚石》by Chinese legend 赵传
This song sounds like a karaoke oldies but it is actually his new song!
It is actually quite catching and refreshing, for a new song in this era to sound like you heard it 10 years ago. Sometimes, after all the KPOP, techno and whatsoever, such music may come as pleasant to you.

2) 《尘埃》by 家家
Drama aside, this song really brings out the emotions.
(p.s. if you watched the first sequel to the drama, and is anticipating the second...word of advice: please do not put too much hope in it.) The plot from the beginning is already different from what we are familiar with because of the limitations in the country.

3) We Are One (Ole Ola) by Pitbull
Here we go again~~Its the World Cup 2014!!! How can we not have this song on the list?
I actually signed up for Zumba lessons at my office with another 2 colleagues, and this is one of the songs we Zumba to!

By the way,  it will be USA vs Ghana, Korea vs Belgium tonight~ and of course Portugal!
Which 2 countries will be able to advance? Lets all stay tune~~

Sponsored Review: The Body Shop Sorbet Series

I am back to introduce to you The Body Shop Sorbet series launched in Singapore on the 16 June.
The Sorbet series includes a Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet for the face:
and also the Body Sorbets. It comes in 5 different 'flavours': 4 fruit ones, and 1 floral one.
The Sorbet series products, I must say the texture is very much different from normal creams.
It works like a moisturizer, but it is much lighter in texture,
therefore, it is easier for the skin to absorb.
I placed all the Sorbet products in the fridge,
Absolutely perfect for the hot and humind weather in Singapore.

Firstly, I tried the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet, and the floral scent Body Sorbet.
It really soothes the skin, despite the hot weather.
It smells just like the floral scent body sorbet that I tried on too.
Maybe I am used to the rich texture moisturizers have,
so even though I really like the Sorbet products for its cooling effect,
I have to say the moisturizing effect isn't really great as compared to cream textured moisturizers.
However, that is only for the Body Sorbet.
Because I have oily skin, the light texture for the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet suited me more than any other day and night creams.
It doesn't leave my face feeling all oily and shiny for the whole day!

For those who are in Singapore~ you may want to check out the products at The Body Shop outlets.
The Body Shop is also giving out free Sorbet ice-creams and vouchers this coming Saturday and Sunday!
I have attached the schedule below!
If you do ever see them, take a photo and post it onto Instagram or Facebook and hashtag #spotthesorbetcart
You may stand a chance to win $130 worth of The Body Shop's Sorbet Series products!

What review should I do next?

Sponsored Review: Loreal Hair Chalk

Hope you guys did not wait too long for the Hair Chalk review~~
Was busy and lazy~

Anyway, here it is.
Got a Hairstylist from Loreal to do it for me.
There are 6 colours to select from.
I did my hairstyle with 3 colours (pink, purple and green).
Its dries fast. The colour was said to last for at most 3 days.
Well, the green pretty much wear off after 3 days.
Purple and pink are actually quite close, one cannot really tell the colour difference.
But pink and purple lasted for more than a week.
Even though it won't stay bold and bright, but still visible to the naked eye.

The Loreal Hair Chalk is actually quite simple to do.
You do not even need a brush. But of course, if you do have it, you can use it.
If not, with every purchase, you will get an applicator as seen in the photo below.

You just need to pour a 50cent (Singapore coin size) amount onto the applicator, and apply it to your hair. Up and downwards continuously. You may add more dye, if you want the colour to be more obvious. To accelerate the speed of drying the hair chalk, you may want to use a hair dryer.

I have straight hair, and the colour effects are already quite obvious even on straight hair.
The hairstylist did curls for me.
Its the first time I have curls.
Hard for me to accept at first.
But it grown on me after a few more looks at it.

A close-up shot for my hair colours.

My next review will be on The Body Shop Sorbet series products!
